Key Responsibilities:
Focus on the development and provision of broad, state-of-the art bioinformatics and biostatistics analysis to support drug discovery.
Design, code and/or apply innovative algorithms, workflows, and visualizations to generate actionable biological insight spanning pre-clinical assays including HTS phenotypic screens, public sources, and large proprietary proteomics datasets.
Integrate and interpret complex biological information. Prepare data for utilization by other scientists. Implement end-users needs in database searching and integration.
Help implement building databases and new IT infrastructure to support the development of company.
Education & Experience Requirements:
Doctoral degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Bioinformatics, or related disciplines. Master’s degree is feasible if candidate is outstanding. Previous work experience in a pharma or biotechnology would be considered as beneficial.
Understanding of tumor molecular biology with focus on clinical relevance.
Working experience writing code in a high-level programming language such as R, Python or Java for complex bioinformatics and data analysis. Proficient with software engineering tools, including Git/BitBucket, Docker, SQL and Java. Experience with AWS or Google cloud computing platforms.
Experience with ‘omics profiling platforms, including proteomics and RNA-seq, experience with analyzing TMT proteomics data would be considered a plus.
